Crystal Reports Developer Edition provides the rights for unlimited internal corporate deployment of the Crystal Reports .NET, Java, and COM (RDC) report engine components. When a developer builds an application using these components, they do not have to pay additional licensing fees for scaling that deployment across multiple servers or CPUs.

For developers who build server/web applications that will be redistributed, sold, or deployed to a third party, they will need to purchase a copy of Crystal Reports Developer Edition for each company the application is redistributed to.
